Mercy Healthcare is embarking on a groundbreaking $650 million project to construct a state-of-the-art hospital in Wentzville to accommodate ongoing growth in St. Charles, Lincoln, and Warren counties. This 75-bed facility, which will be located near Interstate 64 and Interstate 70, aims to serve over 520,000 residents in the region pending approval this summer.
Spanning 60 acres, this 483,000-square-foot complex marks Missouri's first new acute-care hospital campus since 2015 and is expected to generate hundreds of healthcare and construction jobs. Mercy's intention is for the new facility to reduce the need for patients to travel long distances for treatment. Some patients are currently driving more than an hour from Lincoln and Warren counties from treatment.
Wentzville Mayor, Nick Guccione, welcomes the project, foreseeing its potential to transform healthcare services and position Wentzville as a healthcare hub.
