What began in 2017 with a single location in O’Fallon, Missouri, has become one of the region’s standout craft brewery success stories. Good News Brewing founders Dan Tripp and Matt Fair’s simple but effective formula includes:
- A diverse lineup of handcrafted beer (from the citrusy Local 636 Hazy IPA to the malt-forward Dirty Laundry Brown Ale)
- Delicious wood-fired pizza
- A welcoming space for friends, families, and communities to gather
With thriving locations in St. Charles County (Defiance, Augusta, and St. Charles), the company is now expanding its footprint—launching its first franchise in Alton, Illinois, and opening a dynamic new venue in Wildwood.
SBA 504 in Action
The new Wildwood location be more than just a taproom—it will double as an event destination, offering live music, bocce ball, bag toss, food trucks, and more. The space was purchased and renovated with an SBA 504 loan through the EDC and St. Johns Bank, marking the company’s third time leveraging the program to fuel its expansion.
Supporting the Next Generation
As the company grows, it's also investing in the next generation. Co-founder Dan Tripp is an instructor in the CAPS program for St. Charles County high school students. Through this program, students learn professional skills, pitch entrepreneurial ideas, and participate in internships. It’s Dan’s way of helping prepare the next generation of business leaders while giving back to the community that helped Good News grow.
From craft beer and community spaces to mentorship and entrepreneurship, Good News Brewing is growing at scale with the help of the SBA 504 program. Connect with us to see how your company can do the same.
