Published Wednesday, March 18, 2026

The EDC is pleased to welcome Katie Wollard as its new Small Business Counselor through a partnership with the Missouri Small Business Development Centers (SBDC).

As a Small Business Counselor, Katie will support small businesses at all stages, from startups to succession planning. She can provide guidance on everything from the paperwork needed to start a new business and getting a business loan to managing cash flow, developing marketing strategies, and more.

“I’m incredibly excited to get started in this role and to support the small businesses and entrepreneurs who are doing such important work in our community,” Katie said.

Katie is working towards an MBA at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Historic Preservation from Southeast Missouri State University, where she evaluated the cost-benefit of rehabilitating historic properties for modern use, while working within established preservation guidelines.

Prior to this role, Katie held positions with PNC Bank and the Webster Groves Historical Society. She brings experience in financial management, grant writing, and customer support.

"Given her banking background and client-focused mindset, we are fully expecting Katie to excel in this new role," said EDC President & CEO Scott J. Drachnik. "She has impressed our whole team with her work ethic and proactive approach to customer support."

Katie's SBDC territory includes St. Charles, Lincoln, and Warren counties. Her office is on-site at the EDC's small business incubator in St. Peters.
