The EDC has named Kevin Hoef its new Business Development Officer (BDO). Hoef brings a strong background in commercial banking, investment management, and insurance to the position.

As the EDC's Business Development Officer, Hoef will serve as a key liaison between the EDC’s Business Lending team, financial institutions, business owners, and others seeking long-term, fixed-rate financing through the EDC’s SBA 504 loan program. In this role, he will identify eligible financing opportunities and guide borrowers through the SBA 504 process, from initial project discussions through financing.

"I'm excited to be part of an organization deeply committed to the growth and prosperity of the community," Hoef said. "I'm looking forward to contributing my passion and energy to the EDC's mission and making a lasting impact on the businesses and people we serve."

He has extensive experience helping clients navigate financial options to support growth, with previous roles at Republic Bank, American Bank of Missouri, Severin Investments, and American Family Insurance. Hoef holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Iowa.

“Kevin’s combination of financial expertise and relationship-building experience makes him a great fit for this role,” said Scott Drachnik, president and CEO of the EDC. “We’re excited to watch him build relationships with our lending partners and connect more businesses with the financing they need to grow and invest in their communities.”

Kevin is on-site at the EDC's St. Peters location.
