The EDC of St. Charles County is pleased to announce the promotion of Thomas Redd to the position of Assistant Vice President of Economic Development. In this role, Redd will use a data-driven approach to promote St. Charles County business development opportunities to site selection consultants and corporate decision-makers around the world while continuing to cultivate stakeholder relationships.
"Thomas has been an exceptional advocate for St. Charles County during his time with our organization, and I am excited to see what he will accomplish with these new, expanded responsibilities," said EDC President and CEO Scott J. Drachnik.
Redd joined the EDC in 2021 as an Economic Development Coordinator. In that position, he provided support for St. Charles County business attraction and retention initiatives and liaised closely with local and state economic development stakeholders.
Redd says he is passionate about making connections that could lead to new jobs and investment in St. Charles County. "I'm thrilled at this opportunity to continue working alongside excellent partners to create quality jobs and facilitate attractive investment in this community."
Prior to his time at the EDC, Redd served as the Project Coordinator for Community Strong, a health and wellness initiative through the EDC’s peer organization, Partners for Community Progress. Since 2022, he has represented District 5 on the Missouri Economic Development Council (MEDC) Board of Directors. He is one of just 30 economic developers in Missouri to have achieved a Missouri Certified Economic Developer (MoCED) designation.
