The St. Charles County Economic Development Council (EDC) is pleased to announce the opening of the 2025 Randy Schilling STEM Educators Grant application period.
Named in honor of local entrepreneur and STEM advocate Randy Schilling, the grant provides teachers in St. Charles County with financial support for STEM-related classroom materials and projects. Since 2021, this program has put over $46,000 directly into local classrooms, helping teachers bring innovative tools and experiences to their students.

Schilling is passionate about the long-term rewards of STEM education, remarking: "An investment in STEM is an investment in the future of St. Charles County."
“Supporting STEM education is a critical part of building a strong foundation for the future of St. Charles County,” said EDC President & CEO Scott J. Drachnik. “By equipping today’s students with the tools and skills they need to excel in STEM fields, we’re investing in an innovative workforce that will drive our community forward.”
This EDC initiative is made possible thanks to a 10-year, $100,000 endowment from Schilling and his wife, Sibby, and donations from General Motors, Partners for Community Progress, and Jim and Randie Eberlin.
Applications may be submitted online through January 31, 2025. Winners will be notified in late February and recognized at the St. Charles County STEM Awards Breakfast in March.
