EDC Announces Stacey Putnam Ross as Director of Communications and Marketing

October 22, 2020; St. Peters, MO --- The Economic Development Council (EDC) of St. Charles County has selected Stacey Putnam Ross as the organization’s new Director of Communications and Marketing, effective October 30, 2020.                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

Ross has spent the last 12 years in the St. Louis airline industry, where she gained a diverse array of experience including communications and marketing, branding, business development, talent attraction, and international trade. Her background includes an internship at the World Trade Center St. Louis and several years as a Marketing and Business Development Specialist at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. Since 2014, she has led the communications efforts at Trans States Holdings in St. Louis County.

The EDC recently conducted an extensive applicant search and Ross was selected from a pool of more than 100 qualified candidates from around the nation.      

“Stacey Putnam Ross has been part of the successful efforts to market the region while attracting business and talent for both local airlines and St. Louis Lambert International Airport for nearly 15 years,” said EDC President & CEO Scott J. Drachnik.  “Her extensive communications, marketing and international skills in branding and targeted outreach are exactly what the EDC was looking for as we rebuild and expand our business attraction and promotional efforts in St. Charles County.”

Ross holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master’s degree in International Relations from the Universiteit van Amsterdam in the Netherlands. She and her family are residents of St. Charles.

“The EDC plays a vital role in the growth and economic development efforts of St. Charles County and is ideally positioned to expand its impact and services in the years to come,” Ross said. “This is a truly exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued success of the place I call home.”

The EDC’s business attraction efforts are conducted in partnership with St. Charles County Government, the Cities of St. Charles, St. Peters, O’Fallon, Lake Saint Louis, Wentzville, Dardenne Prairie, Cottleville, and Weldon Spring.
