St. Charles County has grown from just over 212,000 residents in 1990 to an estimated 400,000 in 2019. Travel By Vehicle

Thanks to the coordination of local, state, and federal officials and agencies, St. Charles County is served by five river crossings:

  • Highway 364/Veterans Memorial Bridge
  • Highway 370 Discovery Bridge
  • Interstate 70 Blanchette Bridge
  • Interstate 64/Highway 40 Boone Bridge
  • Highway 67/Clark Bridge

Travel By Air

Many corporate travelers enjoy the convenience of landing at Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield Valley which is just across the river from the Missouri Research Park on Interstate 64/Highway 40. 

St. Charles County is also less than a 20 minute drive to Lambert St. Louis International Airport and a 10 minute drive from Creve Coeur Airport.

The St. Charles County Regional Airport - Smartt Field is less than a 15 minute drive from all the amenities of the Historic St. Charles Riverfront.

For those drawn to more scenic routes for traveling, the Brussels Ferry and Golden Eagle Ferry provide access to northern St. Charles County across the Mississippi River to the Great River Road in Illinois.
