An increasing number of manufacturers are choosing to grow in St. Charles County, thanks to a blend of competitive operational expenses, logistical perks, and supportive local governments.  Founded in 1992, Patriot Machine has been growing in St. Charles County for over three decades and is a leading manufacturer of precision machined components and assemblies for the aerospace industry. The female-owned, family business prides itself on providing highly-skilled jobs and contributing to our nation's defense.  Throughout its history, Patriot Machine has earned accolades for exceptional performance from defense industry giants including The Boeing Company, Lockheed Space, and Northrop Grumman.

Over the past 30 years, Patriot has grown from a small, home-based business to occuping 270,000 SF of operations across three locations in St. Charles County, including a new, state-of-the-art 163,000 SF manufacturing facility in St. Charles City that opened in 2021.  The company has taken advantage of incentive and bond programs, including tax-exempt Industrial Revenue Bonds and Chapter 100 Bonds, to help fund new facilities.

The company's growth has been fueled in part by workforce availability in fast-growing St. Charles County. Patriot President and Co-Founder Judy Burns points to St. Charles County's housing availability and quality schools as key to Patriot's ability to attract a highly-skilled workforce at a time when labor shortages are crippling manufacturing operations around the country.

Beyond their excellence in manufacturing, Patriot Machine takes its responsibility to the St. Charles community seriously. They actively participate in local initiatives and support various community programs.
